Stock Decline Seen As Buying Opportunity

Dow Jones News Story

Analysts, however, continue to recommend purchase of Pfizer's stock. Kenneth Nover, an analyst with A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc., said there is no indication that the six deaths were caused by Viagra in any way. He sees Friday's price decline as all the more reason to buy Pfizer's stock. He noted, however, that because the stock has risen to such lofty levels spurred by the positive news from Viagra, any negative news is likely to have a drastic effect. Indeed, Pfizer's stock has risen more than 45% since the beginning of the year.

mkilloran, this kind of news, though unfortunate, serves to remind people that this is a drug for treatment of impotence, to be considered seriously instead of using it as a recreational/lifestyle drug. Nearly all drugs have contraindications. I once had peptic ulcer because of aspirin.
