Networm, On occasions if your order is marketable as soon at is placed then it does not appear on the Island book. In these cases DATEK routes the order to the MM with the BID or ASK which matches your order and that MM is supposed to fill or at least partially fill your order. If the fill is not complete then the balance of your order is sent back to Datek and it is then posted on Island. I suspect that this is a semi-manual process and occasionally the MM who gets the order from Datek sits on it and does not return it or fill it. That leaves your order in limbo and I have had it happen occasionally. If your order does not appear on Island within a couple of minutes I suggest that you cancel it and place it again.
