Not time to buy GM, market share has fallen to 28.6% in Feb, down form over 50% in their prime. It has dropped every year since 1992, when the board overthrew management. Now with cheap imports and an global overcapacity problem, I wouldn't touch the autos...But you were probably joking anyway...Maybe I'll buy a chicken farm, or a manure silo to put my SMOD certificates in....

.and SMOD is on the short list failing the smell
test.

I definitely smell something. I thought I knew the stock well, but admit I haven't called the company since last quarter. My mistake! I falsely assumed they were tracking since absolutely no news or comments.

In my opinion it's more than a little dishonest when the CEO only gives a minor warning about one contract w/ a so called minor customer the previous quarter, then suddenly springs the news Q3 is expected to come in what 60% less than expectation.

In my opinion, he has also hurt matters with an irresponsible estimate/forecast by personally misjudging what could be possible completely wrong unless there is something he has not told us. Judging by his cloudy vision of the short near term and vague references to expectations 6 months out I am quite concerned with his attitude.

The fact remains Smart Modular has new products that will indeed be profitable in the near term. Believe me, this lack of confidence eminating from the CEO does not help when negotiating new business. If your going to put a blockbuster negative out you better back it up with strong encouraging words/contracts to show forward movement. Not, you have a new factory, but expect a slow down for 1/2 the year and there is a glut in with your primary product?

Smart Modular doesn't hold a monopoly. But I did hear whispers they had 100% market share of something?
