To me the datablade is the most fascinating aspect of the US technology, along with how the US provides transparency of this functionality to the application through its object oriented architecture. Once a development architecture has been created to have users get a handle on the development and use of the datablade, where even COBOL programmers can understand its usefulness and even code for the datablades themselves, then IMO this database architecture will in time become a widely adopted architecture. I think an important part of this success will be the availability of useful datablades that can be demonstrated on model implementations. Nothing esoteric here, just something that is appealing to a wide audience.
