I want to try and turn the conversation to equipment for a second. The way I see it you need to have top notch systems if you are going to compete. I think you need 1) order entry; which firm is the fastest and most reliable for the best price? 2) quote system; who has the most comprehensive system; how much is this per month; what features are important; which are extraneous? 3) internet access 4) CNBC access 5) connectivity; what kind of lines do you guys have (ISDN?) how may lines do you have? how many diiferent computers do you have? In short I am trying to piece together exactly what would be needed for a competitive trading system with good informational flow and excellent executions. I hope some traders might be able to add some input into what they have and who provides the best service etc. Any comments are greatly appreciated. Peace Tom
