There is no similarity between DDs and PCBs. The disk drive makers like WDC and Seagate serve one industry ... computers and mostly PCs. ECMs make product for everything from rockets for the army to hearing aids to air bag computers to....PCs. The dynamics of PCBs and ECMs is outsourcing and the economies of scale therefrom.

Maybe there is a temporary oversupply and maybe there are problems in Asia but the ECMs are like a basic industry ...here forever. Someday soon disk drives will be obsolete.
