Thanks for the kind words.

There are a number of companies that make Ethernet Switch chips including TI, MMC (I think), and I-Cube. When I said GALTF doesn't have an unfair advantage, I guess what I meant was that they don't have a lock on the market. With all these fabless semi co's getting into the comm chip business, it reminds me of the PC VGA graphics chip business - one company had the best chip for 6 months to a year and then someone else came out with a faster chip and the leadership position went between a number of companies. I am thinking of the S3 / C&T / Tseng Labs / ATI go round, where Tseng is now out of business and C&T is out of the mainstream desktop - yet these were the early front runners.

Don't have details of NEC socket wins - it is a given that now they have a controller chip, they will take business away because they can bundle the processor and controller. Of course the market is growing and NEC's chips may not have the right features, etc., but my point was that GALTF doesn't have that market totally to itself anymore.

BTW, I am a GALTF shareholder; I am bullish on them short term.
