Joe,IMO,the answer lies in one question. What is the average PE ratio of the DOW listed stocks? What has it been historically? (I lied,2 questions<g>) DD
PS: It's interesting to look at the Z stock standings(the stocks),gives a good indication of micro/small/mid cap performance recently,it has gone to sh*t,speaking on an averaged basis...One strong point,European markets have been kicking butt, even with the Dow and Naz lagging.IMO,those overseas markets are going to get whacked Monday(Sunday night) or Tuesday(Monday night)(screwy week with closed US markets on Monday)...we'll see..
PSS: everyone enjoy the holiday weekend, unfortunately I have to work through it.The market as a whole is way overvalued,IMO..

I think it's absolutely fantastic people are playing Missle Command with their accounts. There's one book which comes to mind called "Manias, Panics, and Crashes" by Charles Kindleberger. Everything happening today has happened before, people don't change, the circumstances do. And another book called "Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds and also Confusion de Confusiones" by Mackay and also De La Vega, which describes everything on a "people" level happening centuries ago through today. Today people are doing the same thing but faster and more of it. The opportunity to profit is unfreekingbelievable. And I don't even think we've seen what the explosion upwards this market will do, but in the years to come I'll be ready to profit going down. I think it's great so many people are churning - playing Missle Command with their accounts (I feel sorry for them) but hey, I'll take advantage of the situation. My two cents. :-)
