Time to watch JBL real close here.. A break of 34 3/4 will most likely mean we go to test the double bottom at 30 again but thats time to load up the truck. I hope it does not break 34 3/4 though which would mean someone knows something and is not stepping up to the plate. Take a look at PSFT which is also down to 42 from a high of 56. But their support at 42 held even on high volume, expect the same here, Unless.... Cant blame the darn MM's this time either. But it was easier to make money with the MM's since they made the stock a lot more volatile. IR Response To E-Mail spectracide May 22 1998 11:16PM EDT I received a quick response to my e-mail about the Deutsche, Morgen, Grenfell Tech Conference from Beth Walters. The response was vanilla in that she divulged nothing other than saying that if there was anything significant said, Jabil would be required to issue a statement per SEC regs (she's right); however, we all know (having been in such conferences in the past) that "incremental" information not given to the public which gives direction or leads to direction occurs all the time. One piece of information she did give me is that the analyst covering Jabil and at the conference is named Herve Francois of DMG and I will give him a call on Tuesday to see if he will discuss what he heard. You may want to do the same. Separate Notes: 1) It was disturbing to see 100K shares trade between 3:35 and 3:38 pm EST in succesive blocks of 35K, 35K, 20K, and 10K - all at 35 1/4 with the first block on a down-tick. But you know the old saying: for every seller theres a buyer and vice versa. 2) Speedmaster98: you've left two highly emotional messages about the Dell contract. How about a little more objective information. I pray your correct, but two things disturb me. First, that a significant contract such as that would leak to some insiders who would be buying thereby giving the stock price support and we certainly haven't seen that; Second, If I were Dell I might be concerned that Jabil could not handle my business considering the acquisition, given that the HWP deal will keep the organization extremely busy and focused on the new business venture. Having negotiated such deals, that is always a concern; you want to protect yourself. But again, I hope you know more than your messages convey. Good luck to all.
