I agree that next week's news must go beyond Hauppauge and go2net, and I am confident that more news is forthcoming, after analyzing the whole situation. Wave would be setting themselves up for a major letdown not just among the critically important investment community but also their content partners, which I understand will include a lot more providers and titles than those shown on the "Great Stuff" website. I believe that a lot more impressive content names should be announced following OEM announcements, adding further momentum to the stock.

Remember that E3 is primarily about content and Wave needs the OEMs to complete the circle with the content providers. By advertising a big promotion at E3, Wave must be planning to deliver some kind of OEM announcement(s).

I had also been concerned about Wave waiting until the E3 to make any announcements, however now I feel like announcements made at the expo itself could create more 'spontaneous electricity' among the participants.

PF, Wahoograd & other long term investors in WAVX. As you all "quaff some brewski's and munch barbecue this weekend" you might glance at the just published 6/1/98 Business Week issue at an article entitled "IBM: Double-Digit Growth", Pgs. 116-122 for some indication of where IBM is headed and perhaps its implications for our WAVX. Some salient quotes from the article...

"Gerstner wants to reenergize revenues by making Big Blue the premier supplier of electronic commerce software and services and the maker of raw technology to build Net-ready information appliances- the innards of everything from Internet phones to handheld computers to TV set-top boxes."

"By then, Gerstner hopes to be the top supplier of E-Commerce tools and services, ranging from Web servers to 3D software for online video to data mining over the net. Gerstner is focused heavily on internet security, Web-management software, even whizzy software in its labs that will translate foreign-language Web pages into english." (Writers Note: Remember Lark Allen vs. internet security mentioned above.)

"Gerstner says that research shows IBM is considered by other companies to be a leader in E-commerce."

And a cautionary note, "But IBM must still fight its tendency to move slowly. In the past, the company has hesitated to jump into areas of the industry that have fueled spectacular growth for rivals."

The article is littered with other tidbits that could be "spun" by any of us into positive potential for WAVX, but I'll stop here. I guess we will all have to wait to see what happens in the next few weeks.
I appreciate PureFolders Memorial Day "treatise" and Wahoograds response. Over on the Yahoo! board I also hope the future pans out like "wavxnews" post #1583 projects. I believe this closely approximates what all of us long term investors envision for Wave.(I also like "wavxnews" post #1658 which alludes to he/she attending an upcoming "dog and pony show for ALDNF.) Finally, I appreciate S. Sprague Yahoo! post #1665 (responding to #1662) as regards a potentially competing technology.
But, "..all this and a token.." will allow all of us to ride on the subway, unless it proves out in the next few weeks. Then, if you believe some of the posts here, numerous people will be able to buy the subway. I sincerly hope this is the case for us all. But in the meantime, I will refer all to an earlier quote I used in a post long ago, "It ain't over 'til it's over and even then it ain't over". Good luck to us all. Have a great weekend.
