Analog Devices reported earnings way under analysts' expectations a couple of days ago, and fell from 34 to 25. It is probably dragging down some others with it (LLTC, MXIM, MCRL), as it makes the analog sector look as vulnerable to the PC slowdown/Asian flu as the digital sector.

They aren't completely independent of each other. If I'm not mistaken, a number of analog circuits keep those boxes and other devices working via voltage regulators and what not. Of course I don't think the analog semi's see the same pricing pressures from competition seen on the digital side such as makers of computers, RAM, CPU's, disk drive's etc.
