If people really believed in the "sanctity of life" they espouse, the death penalty would have no support. You are correct in calling it "barbaric". Europeans are correct to condemn it.

You see, it has been proven that more than one innocent life has been taken. The individual and individual rights should be held supreme. Therefore, if an imperfect system could even murder one innocent person via execution, that system is morally wrong and needs to be destroyed.

When it is found that an innocent person has been executed, I strongly assert that all members of the jury, the judge, the district attorney prosecuting the case, the warden, the governor of the state and the executioner should be held accountable and go on trial for murder themselves.
