Big Pharma Report- 5/23/98 -Big Pharma gained 2.0% for the week versus a flat Dow and a declining NAStie(-2.3%). -WLA (203) and AHP (51 3/8) set all-time highs. -Just prior to its 3-1 split, WLA (+7.8%) was the weekly leader. Reflecting a rumored DuPont takeover (Business Week), AMGN jumped 6.3% and is the May leader (+10%). -Surprise....PFE was up 1.0% over last week's options Friday.. However, PFE is in the May cellar (-7.4%). -In the YTD race, WLA is now at the 60 level! PFE (+41.4%) has pulled ahead of Claritin..oops SGP (+40.2%). -LLY is still this year's disappointment (-5.2%).
