Re: "Again BB's three Model Portfolios have NOT beat the S&P 500 Index over the past 8 years."

Again, Brinker's portfolios (I and II) which have had anywhere from 25% to 30% invested in foreign holdings at anytime during the past 8 years cannot be fairly compared to the S & P 500's performance. You might as well say that Dell has outperformed the S & P 500 and so you should have skipped the the index funds and invested every last cent in Dell. What is ignored in both examples are the different degrees of risk in each respective investment choice. You are really comparing apples to oranges. I suppose you could break out the domestic investments from the rest of the portfolio to measure Brinker's domestic performance against the S & P 500 but that is even unjust because Brinker's investment portfolios on the domestic side include small caps which are totally absent from the S & P 500. I think the best available measure would be to compare Brinker's domestic investments against the Vanguard Total Market Index. I am talking about Portfolios I and II. Portfolio III with its fixed income component is a totally different story.
