Thanks for the post Ausdauer,

I go to the MMC page every week to check if anything's changed and find it quite good looking and informative. Of course I'll post here if something's added.

Andrew Prophet doesn't seem to be too busy currently as he has the time to answer questions in 15 minutes. I hope I am wrong.

Regarding the terms of the Smart Media agreement with Toshiba I think they've been posted here again yesterday by Craig I think. Just look back a few messages.

I was also told (months ago) that Sony's Mavica is red hot, at least here in Europe people prefer it to Cameras using 'strange' little cards. Hope things change. From your report it doesn't seem to be the case. Too sad.

IMHO, the sales rep you met got it wrong when talking about Zip being chosen as storage media for digicams, it's Iomega's Click! which tries to get being designed into D-cameras. FYI, Click! is smaller than Zip.
It costs a few bucks for 20MB but the drive costs $100.

Would anyone care to indicate to Ausdauer the message #'s where we discussed Click! vs CF?

Thank you.

Ausdauer, I've known Andy Prophet for about 15 years. I worked with him at Dataquest in the 80's. He is a very knowledgeable analyst.
