Ben,

I have found that it works for DELL as well and the stock will settle near what you call the "max pain" point (I think that I have heard it called equilibrium point by McMillan and others). In the last week it will end up near a strike price close to that point and may oscillate between the surrounding strike prices. A lot of option action is still likely with 4 weeks to go. DELL can have several thousand contracts trade in a day at a popular strike price.
