Dan, I just got back from doing a little DD by going out to watch the new Godzilla movie. (G) I didn't go in expecting much and was quite surprised. Special effects were excellent, a decent story line, a fair amount of good humor..it was fun! I think that the better this movie does, the more demand there will be for the original movies. You said in your post that some of the first analysts didn't like the Godzilla movie..they also didn't like Titanic when it first came out either. (G) Our local theater is a 10-plex and Godzilla is taking 3 of the 10 theaters...looks like the theatre management here thinks this is going to be big. This is no Titanic, but certainly better than average IMO. The box office numbers for the first week should give us some idea of it's success. Happy Memorial Day weekend to all! James
