marcie--

lucky to hold 12? who knows? to be honest, a chance to buy 12 is a great opportunity, one that simply can not be passed up. VLSIs total asian exposure is going to be carried down by DIVX players, the big market for which is the US. DIVX, IMHO, is what is going to make DVD the killer entertainment medium and finally rid us of VHS.

in addition, by moving manufacturing offshore into asia, they will be cutting costs. new production will be much cheaper.

this sell off is a blip on the radar. even INTC went up some on friday, which is funny since HWP just announced a line of pavilions with K6 processors. i think tuesday will be an up day. simply put, we just dont know the impact of asia. what will help them is increased consumer spending, which would positively affect companies like VLSI.

i have never been able to understand why someone who liked a stock at 22 hates it at 17. this makes no sense to me. VLSIs current sell off is not related to anything other than emotion or speculation.

good luck to all,
trey
