Sandra,

better install solar paneling, get a bike, dig a well, and stock up the old bomb shelter. LOL

no seriously, I just had a thought. Does it not seem likely that if people are going to be exposed to the Y2K problems then the companies which make a person more "self sufficient" may become hot. Kind of a back to the roots movement.

I saw a show the other day on Home and Garden channel which discussed a incredible home which was totally self sufficient. No outside sources of electricity, water, etc. The solar paneling was talked about as being light years ahead of the old types.

does anyone know a good solar stock or any other that might fit into the above scenario?

Anyone, < Scans > If anyone has any good setup's for stock scans and willing to share, I would greatly appreciate it.
Indicaters with parameters settings
Candles maybe
Moving averages. Simple

Looking for some good LONG and SHORT SELL Scans. Looking for stocks that are not Daytrades, but are likely to make a GOOD move, in the correct direction, in a short time frame. ( Few days to a week or so )

Three Days off and some time to play with my Charting Program.
Using IQ Suite Charting and Scan Program. ( The Pay version, not the Free online version )

Thanks

Scott

Sandra,

Your bank is closed because of the satellite? Uh oh...this is bad. Time to buy Y2K stocks again. Have never really researched the area except I bought SYNT for a quick trade once. Any suggestions? I know Jim likes TAVA...but it just got a heck of a buzz cut.

Phil

Y2k concerns are likely to be featured more and more in our everyday
lives....Y2k the movie will be playing downtonwn soon enough. Here's a site to keep up with Y2k developments at the S & P 500
companies:
yardeni.com.

I found what's going on at FORD. All of the block action has been
conversion of warrants to shares. Lots of dilution going on, but the
Co. just received a much larger credit facility, so perhaps an acquisition is in the plan. I'm not keen on dilution without demonstraded growth, so I've changed my opinion on FORD, to a pass.

Another stock on my big block trade list is POOR. Would you believe that they've got some Reg. D convertibles to go with their chips and salsa. Co. is introducing a few new products and is featured at a growth conference next week. Tava is also a featured co. at this conference. POOR looks ok for a quick play, but is not a hold stock for me. The growth conference:
biz.yahoo.com

LMAR is scratched from my list. I was attracted by the cash position at first glance until I noticed the debt. Co. is in trouble and needs to pull off something special in order to stay afloat.

I'm still looking at ENVG and DGIT.
