Pruguy. Re: "The business really hasn't changed much at all." Thanx for your well reasoned post. CPQ's ability to prosper in this industry in the past should help it prosper in the future.

Couple of minor disagreements: 1) "this time is different". IMHO, "Everytime is different". History does not repeat itself, but it does "rhyme" (Mark Twain). IMHO the two things that are critically different this time are the need for BTO and the need for service. Intel's more rapid churning out of new chips is making inventory corrections more painful. As the internet expands tieing computers into networks are more important and service becomes more necessary.

CPQ understands these two critical changes and is adapting.
