I use a real time service from SDS (212) 349-3300.

Its $89/month for all stocks and options. They have a typical broker screen which you can configure with any parameters you like (bid, ask, bid size, volume... about 2 dozen parameters) You also get option chain screens, basic fundamentals, alerts, and other filter/display features. One of the draw backs is that you cannot actually see the DJ-30, SP-500, or OEX, because they come from off of the futures feeds which are $50 a month more. You get the DIA, SPY, TYX series for the $89 service. Which is good enough for me. Their whole package is $249.

I have no connection to the company other than as a happy customer.

Good luck -- Rod

Interquote <http://www.interquote.com> is a little under $3/day when prepaid (I think I paid $720/yr last time for NYSE, ASE, Nasdaq & OPRA). Level II is an extra $50/mo, if that's of interest. IQ provides everything on their feed, but only the exchanges you've paid rt service fees for are in rt... everything else is delayed by whatever the exchange requires. The limitation with IQ is 300 symbols and they currently don't have historical data on their server, so the charts are useless unless you get s/w from LinnSoft (InvestorRT). This later limitation is changing soon (this month? June?). For my purposes, the quote screen (in a spreadsheet format) has been plenty and is one of the best I've seen.
