When you broaden out the "Computer Revolution" to include these and other developments, it's a wonder that the Justice Department id so bent on precluding the MS browser from Windows. I guess they need to hand their hat on something the public can understand. Fact is that MS is in a dominering position in PC operating systems and many other types of software. But its also a fact that the ground is constantly shifting and new systems will evolve to replace the Windows environment as we know it.

I think it would be better to pass a special 1% tax on Microsoft and put it into a fund for MS's competitors to draw upon in legal battle against them. Something like that makes more sense in countering MS's position of intimidation - even the playing field a bit. It would take new laws. That would have the ability to be out from the micro-engineering by government - something they almost always fail at.
