Good points, all! I know I have a tendency to overtrade, especially when I feel like things are "right". So getting away from it for a while is a great idea.

I also tend to hold stocks for too short a time frame, occasionally. I bought BBY last year for 13 5/16 and sold shortly at 15 9/16. I was real proud to take better than 16% out of it... but it hit 75 a few weeks ago. Without me!

But, I try to catch the short swings. That's what I look for and what my brain is "programmed" to do. This is where I'm most comfortable. It is also the way I have avoided (usually) watching a winner become a loser before I get out. I hate it when that happens <G>.
