Yes I am sort of nestled here aren't I? You know Jane the world is full of godless, hopeless people, some good and some not so good,and still there are some who are just indifferent, but just the same all need to know God, even if they do not believe so.
What better a podium could a speaker have than these threads. We have the opportunity of a life time here. We simply plant the seeds and let God take care of the rest. His word is a powerful tool which opens the hearts and minds of even the most dreadful of people.
All the words here will someday be rendered useless, most already are, but the word of God will never pass away. It fills my heart with joy that surpasses all understanding. Just to know that there are millions who read this thread from all over the world,is an almost incomprehensible fact.It is enough to bring tears of joy to my heart when complete strangers write me to say among other wonderful things,"Thank you for telling me about God" and "God bless your efforts in bringing the word of God to this place".
People who did not at one time believe there was a God, and people who have fought against Him all their lives, read the word of God here and are totally changed and are grateful for it.
Jane many posters here kick against the pricks, (Acts9:5) but so too are there many who have seen their rebellious ways and turned from them...Praise God.... Many lurkers here and others, also know whose posts to read and whose to pass by. Those who are interested in good and edifying conversations of God are quite choosy and say so.!
Almighty God will touch, and has touched, the hearts of whom ever He chooses, and reveal Himself to those who He knows will be of great help to Him in reaching others for the Kingdom of God. God cannot be mocked. He knows exactly whose heart can be circumcised and He has waisted no time in doing so.
Jane the ways of this world are not the ways of God, and all the talk of tolerance, acceptance, love, compassion, understanding, sympathy, and all the other 90's buzz words, may be politically correct, but they are empty, and void of any useful impact when they are spoken of apart from The God who started it all. They preach tolerance and practice intimidation.... One thing remains Jane, a society without God is a society in ruins. Just look around us. Look at the nations from even the beginning of time, who chose to turn their arrogant,prideful, rebellious, and very ignorant, backs on God... Even America who tossed God out of the school system is now reaping what they have sown. It is no accident. (Deut.28:15-20) God help us all!
So Jane I can't put it any better than the word of God has already put it.
2 Tim 3:1-7
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Yes Jane I go on, and am for now, as you say, nestled in here. There is much evil to overcome and only the word of God can and will overcome it, I have seen much of it's fruit....Praise His holy Name!
Thank you Jane for your concern for me, but I am no hot house Lily or shrinking violet, not even a petite petunia...smile...
And I have been in more foul smelling arenas than this....well maybe.
You know Jane, if we had some more petunias the abundant sweet fragrance could over power the not so sweet odor.
In any case the word of God is a sweet sweet fragrance to those who know His truth and to those who care to know it. As for the rest?
