great point. Unfortunately I am one of those who took a position in INTC @ 95 and am trying to recover by selling covered calls. I sold naked calls on DELL(June 105) on the day of earnings and bought it back recently for a substantial gain.
I am new to shorting and should have shorted CPQ,INTC and Internet stocks as well.
What do you think are good entry points for AMAT,EMC,TXN,PSFT and SMOD. AMAT < 32 and TXN < 54 look like good entry points.

Suit yourself sz. I simply expressed my experience with other high flying stocks that had tumbled. Perhaps MANU will be an exception and will rebound quickly, but until I see earnings turn around (in 2 quarters at the earliest), I remain a skeptic and MANU is dead money. In fact I wouldn't be surprised that MANU will be trading at much lower level when the magnitude of the losses are released next month.

Tom
