<<Is there anything off the shelf that approaches this level of computerized trading sophistication?>>

I am not aware of any off the shelf computerized trading platforms that integrate a quote server, trade analysis (to identify entry/exit points) and order placement.

Although I have not used it, I believe that Real Tick III is a very popular trading platform. It can't simultaneously monitor thousands of stocks and does not offer order placement. But, for individual traders, it may be the most popular on the market.

<<I have to simply monitor a handful of stocks mentally and visually in order to find a trading opportunity. Obviously I get fewer and more subjective "trade signals", not to mention the slow order processing.>>

==> These are some of the exact problems I had. I began to develop this trading platform to address these issues. Let's assume that you have a $100k account and you monitor five stocks with a very good trading system and you average 4 trades/day with an average profit of $100/trade, or $400/day. Not bad.

Now, imagine the power of using that same system to monitor 100 stocks, resulting in 80 trades per day and a profit of $8000/day! Now that is real money! I cannot imagine being able to do that manually, but it is possible with automated trading. Pretty exciting stuff...

Happy Trading,
-Eric
