<Every review I have seen of 100 Mhz socket 7 boards claims that the K6 works fine at that bus speed. >

Like I suspected, it isn't guaranteed at 100mhz. The fact that a few run at that speed means nothing. For AMD or Intel for that matter to claim 100mhz bus performance they need to demonstrate to their customers a greater than 99.9% confidence level. In most cases it must be greater than 99.95%. AMD hasn't done this yet or they would claim it themselves. The fact that some board tester got it to work on a few boards isn't nearly enough for Compaq, IBM, HP etc to field a product. Some cases require at least 99.98%. Bottom line, AMD doesn't yet have a 100mhz bus speed product.
