That Was A Great Piece Of Research Terry.

Yes,I have often wondered where the term " Gold Bug " came from, and
why it appears in use frequently by the anti-gold/new paradigm types
when they write negatively on gold related issues. This battle has been
raging for some time by the looks of things and relative newbies like
myself are in awe of the magnitude and extent to which this battle is
still carried out.You notice, every time they wish to make a point, they
use the past highs against the present lows for maximum impact? What
one must contemplate is----- by who's direction these biased reports
are encouraged and who is actually gaining from them. For anyone to
look up and say the Gold market is one of simple supply and demand
like any other commodity is neglecting quite a bit of bias that finds
itself in the press for whatever reason. Thus, gold investors(aka bugs),
are fighting a battle too to get the message across that all things
are not equal and as they would appear.A real learning experience for
the newbies and quite a challenge for those who were simply investing
in Gold and Gold related instruments,eh?

Thanks again for that tidbit.I love those little known factoids.
