Alan, I have no inclination to get into any kind of disagreement with you, so please don't assume that I am trying to pick a fight or anything. It is just that you said "Most religions are derived from the Bible", and that is far from true. Obviously Christians and Jews will find their history and belief system in the Bible, but that is all.

To a casual reader of this thread, it would seem that most inhabitants of the planet have been Christians and Jews. That is just not true, factually speaking. There have been many, many major religions over time, and in fact most of them had multiple gods and goddesses, as well.

If what you are saying is that most people accept Jesus as important figure in religious history, then of course I would agree with you.
