I saw "As Good As It Gets" and thought it was wonderful, also, Penni. I particularly liked the way the gay man's character was complex and contradictory in some ways, multidimensional like real life instead of a stereotyped stick figure. Gee, you are even more frugal than I am. I TRY to borrow videos from the library so that I pay nothing, but that only works generally in San Francisco if you don't mind watching movies no more recent than the 1960's. So sometimes I give in and pay $3.50 at the twilight show. There used to be a bargain theatre here, but they went out of business. I guess they weren't making any money!!
