It seems though that there are several opinions about the meaning of Yeshua. Salvation, saviour, Joshua. I thought Christ meant savior. Peter said "You are the Christ" when Jesus asked who do you think I am. That means Saviour. The problem I am having is the gospel of Jesus Christ is not an affirmation of the Old Testament religion and the Law. It has made that all obsolete as the word says. But Messianic Judaism is an attempt to meld the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Old Testament practice of the Law. The gospel of Jesus Christ is freedom from the Law and the judgement that anyone who keeps the Law is subject to. Bob
