Hi Eric - Thanks for the link. I like the format it offers.

I have not found a resource for stock purchase statistics by institutional investors. Since there doesn't seem to be a public reporting requirement (as long as ownership is below a certain percentage) I guess that the information would have to come from a research group that has an agreement with the fund managers.

As an example, MarketGuide states that Novell is 42% owned by 426 institutions but does not provide a break-down. It suggests, to me, that the information is available but probably for a price. The MarketGuide report referenced is available at schwab500.com for Schwab500 members.

I'll keep looking.
