It was once an oil well. I will concede there may be some degree of difficulty for lay people, but not for those who do this work. The delay is, of course, financial. The caps are some sort of cover. The concrete slab is like a mini-parking lot so that trucks won't accidentally spill waste while making the hookup. The underground concrete work is a specialty item but because it is ordered doable, there most certainly are contractors that can do it. The point is this. Ask yourself the following: IF you knew there is a 50K bbl/day waste production AND the state government has passed legislation making Class V dumping a felony AND you owned the ONLY well approved that can handle 7.5K bbl per day with minor(15K bbl/day with major) modifications AND $10 to $30/bbl, or even a paltry $5 per bbl rate is chargeable, then how much emphasis would you place on rendering unto Caesar whatever he demands to get that bad boy pumping? Especially if it was hands down your single biggest revenue generator. 7500bbls/day x $5/bbl x250 days/yr = $9,375,000 /yr in revenues, from what one might call a captive audience. I don't know, call me crazy but, if all of the above is true, then I might pay any vigorish the local loan shark might charge on the $200K to meet the baseline criteria for pumping. EVERY WEEK THAT THE WELL IS UNUSED, USING THE CONSERVATIVE NUMBERS ABOVE, IS $187,500 IN LOST REVENUES. TG
