Bill,

and all others who have offered good advice. I've decided to hookup with Cybertrader. No company in this new field is perfect, but I think with their new version right around the corner (I hope ), Cybertrader should be the most powerful package out there.

If they add a good news service and capabilities to have add-on software which sorts stocks like Tradestation then they'll have it all. The training concerns me, but nobody offers decent training. Consequently, I'm planning to test the software for maybe two weeks, then paper trader for another two weeks and then only trade 2-5 trades a day until I feel comfortable.

In addition, I like the advice from different folks on the thread who have recommended different advisors, newsletters, etc., including who to stay away from. Think I will try Ken Wolfe's trading group and will look at a couple of other possibilities (maybe Pristine).

Connectivity. Ughh! I knew there was something unpleasant. Well, this is a changing market and the best solution is to go with whatever is currently the best solution until something better comes along. So, I'm switching from Prodigy to another ISP which is faster and will probably, as a short-term solution, also sign up for the GTE deal. It is rather expensive ($2 an hour) given it's only 56K, but I feel the reliability will be worth the price until cable modems or ADSL is available in my area.

Again, thanks to you and guys like Darren and others who have offered good advice. (Of course, if this doesn't pan out I'll have a scapegoat or two).

Brent

P.S. Like you, I have received no response from my message to president of Cyber-corp. (maybe it's presumptuous of me to expect that he reads this thread). However, quite rude of the Pristine folks to not respond, given they posted the first message. Starting to smell like vaporware.
