Yes God's name is I am. That has baffled Christians for years. I am that I am. God is. Period. All else seems to be. There is no time as such or space as such. They are merely mans unit of measurement he created for better understanding.

Yeshua,

Why do you think the Holy Spirit decided to use the Greek language instead of the Hebrew to transmit the message of the Gospel of Jesus, the Epistles of Paul, and the Epistles of John, Peter, Jude and James?
Do you think the Apostles made a mistake when they wrote the New Testament in Greek instead of Hebrew? Why would the Jewish Apostles choose the Greek version of the Scriptures if there is something holy and mystical about the Hebrew language as the messianics continuously imply?

Why did the Body of Christ--the Church-- choose the Greek Septuagint along with the Greek New Testament as the authorized versions of the Bible? The messianics would like to translate the Holy Spirit inspired Greek New Testament into Hebrew to make it really holy. Every Christian knows that it is the thoughts in words and not the language that sanctify the Word of God. Any translation that conveys the true thoughts and meaning of God's Word is holy.

The Greek language was the dominant language of Egypt, Asia Minor, Samaria, Judea etc. Although the leadership in Judea still learned and spoke Hebrew, the Hebrew people in Egypt, Judea, Samaria, Galilee, Asia Minor etc. all spoke Greek. The Jewish community in Egypt spoke Greek and read from the Greek Septuagint of the Old Testament in all the Synagogues of Egypt during the days of Jesus. All of the Synagogues of the world read from the authorized Greek Septuagint. Because most of the despersed Jews spoke Greek in 200-300 B.C., they had the Hebrew scibes and scholars translate the Hebrew Old Testament into the Greek Septuagint in the third century B.C. The Septuagint was authorized and approved by the Jewish religious leadership at that time.

Jesus and His family left Judea when Jesus was approx. one year old.
Joseph, Mary and Jesus lived in Greek speaking Egypt for approx. ten years before returning to Judea and Galilee. The Jews in Egypt at that time spoke Greek and they read the Scriptures in the Synagogue in Greek. We are certain from the information in the Scriptures that Jesus spoke Greek and probably also spoke Hebrew. When Jesus debated with the Scribes and Elders in the Temple, I believe He probably spoke Hebrew since that was the language of the Temple at that time, but I have absolutely no Scriptural evidence to support that speculative belief. All of the New Testament evidence establishes Jesus's name as the Greek Iesus or Iesous! The Jewish Apostles and disciples of the first century felt absolutely comfortable with the Holy Spirit inspired name Iesus.

Why are the newly formed messianics so insistent on making an issue of using the Hebrew derivative of the name of Jesus? There is no place in the Old Testament that the Messiah is called Yeshua! The Christian Church has always used the Greek Iesus to translate Jesus's name. Of course the messianics do not believe that the Christian Church--the Body of Christ-- is holy.

The answer is simple! This new cult of Judaizers wants to establish their dominance and superiority over Christians by falsely claiming some mystical power in the Hebrew language! They want "to glory in the flesh" and lord it over the Body of Christ as St. Paul told the Galatians almost 2000 years ago.
Gal. 6:12-14
12: As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
13: For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
14: But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.(These messianics do not know what it means to be crucified to the world, but want to drag the world into the glorious Church of Christ.)
15: For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
16: And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

The messianics are not satisfied with the mere Christianity---forgiveness of sins and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Their pride and arrogance demands that they be raised above what they call the "gentile Christians" because of what they see as their "holy" flesh. The Christian Church and Christians were never called gentiles after their conversion. This is a new innovation by the modern Judaizer--the messianics. Gentile means "nation of unbelivers." When the modern Talmudic Judaism uses the term, it is always in a derogatory manner. The messianics use it in the same manner--always to distinguish and put down Christians.
The early Jewish Apostles and disciples established the Christian Church and joined themselves to the the holy Church--the Body of Christ.
The messianics despise the Christian Church and refuse to call themselves by the holy name derived from Christ himself--or God Himself.
This is a clear exaltation of Judaism above Christ and His Christian Church. This spirit goes back to the Pharisees who rejected Jesus and not to the Apostles and disciples who established the Christian Church through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
