Re Ronda etc: read my messages as saying "I was there" (g). And yes, hope to meet you in Spain or in Saarland. Just back from Instambul. You should move to Istambul, Juri (no, here he starts again g)

Something serious now:

Dear Dudes

I dont know what the reason is for this ... low pressure period here in this corner. Im afraid it just does not have much to do with Intel: there were times, where the stock took even harder beating than now and we just kept talking.

What hit me as very uncomfortable news was the fact anybody new to the neighbourhood is hit with a one-time fee of 125$ first, before she or he is allowed to get into the discussion. While I am not sure if we'll not all get hammered someday with a similar proposition, I can just state now for the record, that this decision of the new owner makes me feel uneasy. It makes me feel like a street lady.

Suddenly there's money involved in the business of communication and my soul, pure as a New York snow ;), feels soiled - I'm not under influence of controlled substance or substances, I just feel, rightly so, poetic.

Suddenly there's a pimp charging the others (those outside) who want to communicate with me:

"Come meet some battle-proven lads and ladies. Only for closed audience and payable in advance. Bring your social security card with you".

And there's no way for me to switch the street corner and do it for free again.

Which is exactly what I would love to do. Because if we are not an open system, or this openness is conditional, then it's not an open system anymore. It's a closed system, a place where the thermodynamic death hits, it's the intellectual burial ground. It's not a meeting place anymore. It's not even a red light maison. It's a peep show. No more 2c wisdoms, let's start with 125$

Of course if the fee of 125$ guarrantees the ladies sick leaves, flu, rabies and VD shots, fine, but so far I have not found any information about it - not that I would avidly look for it... If the benefits were positive for new members as well as for existing members (in good standing), we would have them in our mail boxes before long.

Dudes, any comments - the rest of the world cant say a thing. They're watching our lips.

DJ

PS: proud owner of a money-losing position in Intel (This is MY corner).
