Lake Superior: The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down of the big lake they call Gitche Gumi. The lake it is said never gives up her dead when the skies of November turn gloomy............

Everone hears Gitchi Gumi... you only know it when you have been there on a day in October or November when there is a storm.

Does anyone know where the Love of God goes when the waves turn minutes into hours?

Superior sings in the the rooms of her icewater mansion.

You only know Superior if you have been there on a summer day and taken in the indescribable beauty. You have only seen Superior when the cold fog rolls off the Greatest Lake on a hot summer day. You only know Superior if you have been fishing there. You can know it on a day in November when a hurricane westwind is blowing and ice is everywhere. You can know it when it is frozen in January.

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down of the big lake they call Gitche Gumi.... Superior they never gives up her dead when the gales of November come early.
