Jim,

That's the same path recycling has taken in my little town here in oh-so-politically correct Northern California, and the trash collection company is very choosy about what it considers recyclable. Our former mayor (the less said about her the better) learned of this whimsy, and her proposed solution was that the local supermarket label individual items with regards to what was considered recyclable by the trash collection company. She was serious! Well, the laughter from the constituency could be heard three towns away!

Quite frankly, I haven't lived as long as I have to spend that much time pondering and categorizing my trash. Besides, being conservative by nature, I don't generate all that much trash.

Holly

Hi Jim,

I don't know if my town gets paid by the recyclers but I know they get paid by me. Furthermore, I have to pay whether I actually recycle anything or not. But this is California, what do you expect?
