I just received this e-mail from someone who said he would prefer not to post directly (he uses his real name unlike some) but has no problem sharing his thoughts with the thread.

>>Melissa: Hello - enjoy reading your posts on the SEBL thread on Silicon Investor, also Michelle's. I know of Michelle but I don't know you - are you in Calif?

I did some work early on with Siebel and have since left to run my own company. Tom has a strong customer and investor focus; I cannot think of a better stock to own at this time than SEBL (maybe some SCM issues).

I'm tired of the garbage on the SEBL thread from Farber,Shege and even some of the investment pros, there is no objectivity at all. Yes Tom has an ego - whats the problem? If he were driving his company into the ground ala Larry Ellison I could see this resentment. But lets remember, Tom has delivered for his shareholders.

Also, the marketing of the man behind the company concept is not a new ploy - and is a hit with customers/shareholders (chrysler, wendys, schwab). I see nothing wrong with Tom promoting himself a little. And when there is LEGITIMATE criticism of this type of PR, as in Siebel post #1452 from Michele: ... Tom is just too ugly to star in his own commercials. (a good point but a little harsh Michelle, straighten up, Tom may know you)

Notice that since this post, the Siebel commercials with Tom have been replaced with customer testimonials - my sense is Tom reads the posts here and acts on them - particularly those from the friendly posters, which as far as I can see only includes Melissa and Michelle. This is what I call shareholder
responsiveness.

Keep up the good work Tom.
