Instock, you will have to tell me the type of trading you want to do...right now I am shying away from breakouts since I am not around to watch when momentum shifts because of my day job...May I suggest that you go to the Windows on Wall Street thread...There is a guy there named Peter Matzke, who in my opinion is brilliant in making homemade indicators...He recently made me all my historical volatility indicators after I gave him the ideas to roll with.... Here are the Breakout indicators: 1.Expansion Breakout 2.50 day Expansion Pivot 3.21 day Expansion Pivot 4. Early warning to breakout is 180's.... Or the fast moving stock, restperiod buy opportunties 1.1,2,3,4 2.Boomer 3.Lizard Bull(10 day trading low, stock closes in top 25% of daily range, and largest high low price in past 9 trading sessions) 4. 5 day momentum 5.
