Yes, I agree that amount is surprising, but it is stated as a part of an annual global increase, right? Not enough information to really get started there. Need to know something about what the current crisis is doing to overall demand (I guess we know a little something from how far crude prices have fallen), but even more importantly what the future factors are that will affect demand. Is demand actually contracting or just slowing its rate of growth? I would imagine it would have to be the latter.

I guess there are probably threads devoted to oil prices -- maybe I ought to visit these.
