No, Penni, I didn't say anything on the threads about my daughter and high school since I briefly mentioned what a horrendous ordeal it was to pick a school several months ago, especially about how much time it takes and how much pressure there is on the children to perform. All of this in the eighth grade!! It really sucked up several months, with all the open houses, all-day visits, letters of recommendation, child and parent interviews, essays, applications, and large and complex art portfolios, and seemed like a very weird process to go through for HIGH SCHOOL. I don't remember applying for college being that complicated!!

But since you did say something, now I must add that I have a wonderful, egalitarian daughter who really likes public school, and did not choose a private school even though she was accepted. Well, actually she said there were too many skateboarders at the private school, a comment I still don't fully understand.

I am not upset!! You said something totally innocently. (Please don't tell everyone all about the details of my love life, though, okay?) ;^)
