Skipper, I have heard "anthropomorphism" used only in relation to animals, never inanimate objects or corporations. A company's profit motive comes initially from its mission statement, which is collective. A company cannot survive unless as an entity it makes money. No individual does that, and in fact any given individual can be removed at any time without serious loss to the corporation, for the most part. You will never get me to say that a company is comprised of individuals, and only individuals are responsible. If that were true, the EPA would sue only individuals when environmental laws are broken, and that is certainly not the case. The company itself bears responsibility (although particularly guilty individuals acting in the interests of the company are sometimes ALSO charged individually). But always, the company itself is held responsible, and only sometimes are individuals charged.
