Are there significant volumes of shares that exchange hands somewhere that never show up in daily published reports, e.g. between MMs? You need Instinet, I believe, to see that type of data. There is no way, for example to see that kind of stuff on Quote.com, etc. And also, during the middle of the day, you will sometimes see prints that are way out of whack for the current bid/ask -- the seller is responsible for the print; these are often earlier sales...
