Hi,
There is a very strong fatalistic aspect to Eastern and Asian philosophies and religions. The cultural/political/social/economic manifestations of this are the "acceptance of one's lot and station in life" and the resultant expected selfless and sacrificial sense of duty to society, employer, etc. often enforced by rather autocratic if not downright dictatorial forms of government. Perhaps the "evil" being spread by America are the notions that an individual's fate is not destined, an individual should have a "voice" , and opportunities to improve their lot in life. Even worse, that some form of democracy nurtures such notions and will lead to unpredictable economic and political change. This is fundamentaly contrary to eastern and asian philosophical and religious notions of "stability". If I may paraphrase on old chinese saying: We are living in interesting times.
