Except if your Canadian, then Etrade charges you $28.88 flat fee, go figure.

For those looking for an on-line broker that deals in pennies, here is some info I wrote last night.

www3.techstocks.com

I hope this helps some people here. So far (with the exception noted) I am pretty happy with this broker.

Chris

Thanks Jim. I'll check out ETrade. Right now I'm using Trading Direct....$9.95 per trade, excellent customer service (they actually let me know in advance if I'm about to have a margin call...LOL) but no penny stocks :( I am extremely impressed with their service. If they have online problems, I just call their 800# and they'll put through the order as an online trade.

My pennies are traded for $60.00 in and out (ouch) through another broker (not online).

ETrade, though more expensive than Trading Direct, might be the way to go for me, since I'm already checking out a couple of other penny stocks.

I appreciate your help.

Helene

On trades ... I started some years ago with Aufhauser when they were one of the first to go at 24.00 per trade. Now they sold out to Ameritrade with several others. Now, online trades are 8 and if I call the broker to place a trade, it is 12. That is the glitch ... Listed stocks come across online trading just fine. However, BB stocks I have to call in. Sometimes it may take as long as 5 min to get in since so many folks are calling, but I have also found that they do a bit of looking out for me. I have had sales go thru at the ask and have bought at the bid. I dunno if they have connections, just that even with the wait on the phone, I have been pretty happy with their service, and any losses I have had, much as I would like to blame them, have been my own fault!
