Sam, Thanks for the URL. I suspected the Asian financial crisis was getting worse but I had missed that interesting bit of news.

The roll out of ADSL modems for quantum leaps in data transfered to disk drives could invigorate interest in having a big one. The Cisco Dell US West announcement: techweb.com

Seriously, the reported contraction of their domestic auto market is pretty stunning. Cutting just 20% of the labor force still leaves them needing to raise exports a whole bunch. Get ready for new records to be set on our trade deficit going forward.

Usual Sam-rant. Which drive maker increased their top line an astonishing 8.5% quarter-over-quarter last quarter? Which drive maker lost the least on their desktop operation?
