The short term trend model I use is in a sell mode. But during consolidation periods it is not all that effective.

I am just going to wait and see if I get a sell setup signal later on this week. THAT will be the one to trade!

don,

one way to check the period when the ST indicators not working well is to see the New High/New Low ratio and also the actual numbers of New High and New Low. May be you can see the New High/New Low negate some of the ST indicators (since the New High/New Low seems to be one of the best indicator of underlying strength/weakness of the overall market ???)

Well put...that is why I have avoided otpions lately.It is just too choppy and the trend is still up.IMHO this trend is just waiting for another shot of momentum.BWDIK?
