Dan chat

Dan since you are into technology, could you checkout IDC Broadband
BCDMA. It appears it will the standard choice in Asia now. Samsung, Alcatel, Siemans and several others have formed alliances. IDC has patents no one else can beat at this time. They have INTC making their tech into the ASIC chip and will have little production costs.
It has been mostly research last few to get it ready. Now there are several people selling it right now.

Heartland value fund has a huge amount tied up for several years and bought several more million shares this past year. I am asking for a long time hold not a chart trade. Thanks

Chat Tredgar Industries (TG) 86 9/16 : -
TG is engaged in the manufacture of plastic films, aluminum extrusions and vinyl extrusions. TG also has interests in various technology-based businesses. For the three months ended 3/98, revenues increased 16% to $158.1 million. Net income rose 58% to $17.3 million. Revenues reflect higher sales in film products, aluminum extrusions and higher contract research revenues at Molecumetics. Eanings reflect the inclusion of a $765 thousand gain on the sale of APPX software.
I have followed and owned TG since January 1993, purchasing shares at split adjusted price of about 11. The stock split 3:2 in Nov 1995 and has twice self tendered for its shares.
PE = 17.5, Market cap = 1 BB
has 11.9 mm shares outstanding with 7.6mm in float
ROE is 26.11
Current Ratio = 2.27
Debt/Equity = .12
announced 3:1 stock split 7/1/98 and increased dividend 33%

This is a real sleeper of a company. Very well managed, has excellent position in its industries. I bought more shares and also for the Z last week. Suggest both traders and investors look at this one. Stock can easily move 2-3 points in a day, and long term the prospects look excellent. Larry
