FIELD OPERATIONS / Canadian Blackhawk ADEN WELL COMMENCES PRODUCTION CALGARY, May 25 /CNW/ - Canadian Blackhawk Energy Inc. (ASE:CBZ) announced today that it has commenced production from its exploratory gas well at Aden, in southeast Alberta. The well was frac-ed in February 1998 and flowed at a stabilized rate of 1.3 million cubic feet (mmcf) per day during subsequent testing. The well, in which Blackhawk holds a 35% interest is currently producing 1.02 mmcf per day. The company owns an interest in 3,840 acres in the Aden area and is currently conducting a seismic program on the acreage to help identify additional drilling locations. INCREASES LAND BASE ADJACENT TO BRAZEAU RIVER DISCOVERY CALGARY, May 26 /CNW/ - Circle Energy Inc. announced that it has been successful in purchasing approximately 40% of the Shunda rights in sections 16 and 17 at Brazeau River adjacent to the recently announced major discovery on Section 15. This acquisition has the potential to significantly increase the asset and reserve value for the Company. The gas well on section 15 is in the final stages of completion and, weather permitting, is scheduled to be tied in the first week in June. The company continues to move its Alberta and New Mexico drilling programs forward including the high potential Nisku well at Brazeau River.
